Rudy showed me this site with some very cool flash graphics and animation. It really fits with the street art that they do. . . Notice the way you move from one page to another and the nice animations that get you there.

Assignment 3
Animate a Nested Symbol
Animate an object with at least one moving part. This is your chance to break away from the tutorials and animate something that you want to do!
Due: Thursday, April 17 (at the beginning of class!)
Objectives:
- Design and create 1 animation of your own
- Use keyframes, tweening, motion guides, ease in and out, sfx, nested symbols, and other techniques we’ve been learning.
Requirements:
Part A: Plan
- Sketch your basic idea in your sketchbook. Determine what objects need to be drawn, what animation techniques will be used, and what happens over the course of your ten seconds.
Part B: Animate
- 1 ten second animation, 24.0 fps and 550 x 400 containing a moving symbol with at least one moving part. (Ie. A butterfly moving around the screen while flapping it’s wings.)
- Create vector graphics either in Flash or in Illustrator
- Incorporate some of the principles of animation: squash and stretch, anticipation, staging, etc.
- Add a sound clip or sound effect.
Graded on:
- Technical requirements (listed above) 60%
- Timeliness 20%
- Aesthetics and creativity 20%
